Food Access Working Table
​Guided by the Simcoe County Food Security Framework, our goal is to increase physical access to nutritious food for all.
We work to develop interim strategies to meet emergency food needs, reduce barriers and stigma, and encourage participation in community food initiatives.
Our Members
The Food Access Working Table brings together food banks across Simcoe County for monthly meetings focused on conversation and collaboration. This group provides a platform to share best practices, exchange information, and identify opportunities for growth, advocacy, and partnership, ultimately enhancing service delivery across Simcoe County.
The Sharing Place Food Centre in Orillia is committed to improving food access and creating lasting change to our food system. Our food access programs include our Food Bank, Food Recovery initiatives and Meals 4 Change program, all designed to provide dignified, nutritious food support to community members.

Helping Hand Food Bank is a registered charity in Bradford West Gwillimbury that provides emergency food for those experiencing food insecurity in Bradford West Gwillimbury. We strive to provide food in a manner that maintains dignity and respect for all.

The Alliston Food Bank supports individuals and families in Alliston with access to nutritious food in a welcoming, choice-based setting. We work closely with community partners, volunteers, and donors to respond to rising local needs and ensure our neighbours can put balanced meals on the table.
